Why it works at night

Comes on by itself when it senses movement nearbyWarm light aimed low, so it never dazzles half woken eyes

The Kinlight Plug-In Motion Sensor Night Light gives you soft, automatic light exactly where a midnight trip through the house needs it. An infrared PIR sensor detects body heat and movement, bringing the LED up as you approach and letting it fade out once the room is still again. Nothing to switch, nothing to remember, and no harsh overhead light that ruins your night vision on the way back to bed.

Pick the version that suits your home. The US and European plug models run on standard 110V to 220V household current and sit flush against the outlet, while the AAA battery model goes anywhere an outlet does not reach, including a linen closet, a pantry shelf or the inside of a wardrobe. All three share the same compact body and the same quiet, instant response, so you can mix formats through the house without a visual mismatch.

Cool white suits bathrooms, laundry rooms and utility corridors where you want clear, usable light. Warm white is the better choice for bedrooms, nurseries and landings, where a low amber glow guides you without fully waking you. The LED draws very little power and runs cool, so it is comfortable to leave in place year round. Keep the sensor face unobstructed by furniture or curtains for the most reliable triggering.

Kinlight plug in motion sensor night light glowing beside a doorway

Light that meets you at the door

The infrared sensor reads body heat and movement, so the light is already up before you are through the doorway. Nothing to feel for on the wall and nothing to switch off behind you.

Kinlight plug in night light glowing in a bathroom outlet at night

One design, three ways to power it

US plug, European plug or AAA batteries, all in the same compact body. Outlets take care of the hallway and the bathroom, batteries take care of the linen closet and the pantry shelf.

Warm low glare Kinlight plug in night light in a dark bathroom

Low enough to keep the night intact

Warm white for bedrooms, nurseries and landings, cool white for bathrooms and utility corridors. Kinlight Co. keeps the output low, so the walk back to bed is still a walk back to sleep.

Frequently asked questions

How does it know when to turn on?
A passive infrared sensor watches for body heat and movement nearby. Step into range and the LED comes up straight away, then fades out again once the room has been still for a moment.
Which power option should I pick?
Choose the US or European plug wherever there is an outlet near the route you walk. Choose the AAA battery model for closets, pantries and wardrobes where no outlet reaches.
Does it run hot or use much power?
No. The LED draws very little and runs cool to the touch, so it is comfortable to leave in place all year and it will not warm the socket around it.
Warm white or cool white?
Warm white suits bedrooms, nurseries and landings, where a low amber glow guides without fully waking anyone. Cool white is better in bathrooms, laundry rooms and corridors where you want clear usable light.
Where does it work best?
Anywhere the first few steps happen in the dark: beside the bed, at the top or bottom of the stairs, along a corridor, in the bathroom doorway, or inside a deep closet.
